Are you seeking the action, art and adventure trifecta?
AllSwell and Tiny Atlas Quarterly have developed an ideal five-day vacation for thrill-seekers to shoot, soak up nature and surf on Vancouver Island.
Earth Missions has partnered with AllSwell (the range of notebooks created to inspire creative expression) and Tiny Atlas Quarterly (a leading lifestyle hub that shares personal travel journeys through art and images), to dream up a travel package that combines photography, surf and outdoor adventure – shaped by a live-local travel itinerary and with planet conservation at the heart of the experience.
On October 6th, 2016, fly in to Vancouver Island, where you’ll be met by your hosts and escorted to Wya Point, Tofino’s coastal rainforest -- your home for the next five days.
In British Columbia, autumn is the best time to capture vivid West Coast sunsets, seasonal flora and experience a wealth of wildlife including eagles, and the possibility of black bears, wolves and whales. The fall weather also brings great (yet accessible) surf.
Yurt or luxe lodge? You pick... Based on your desired level of comfort, and how close you choose to get to nature each night, there are yurts and luxury lodges, all moments outside the world-famous Pacific Rim National Park.
Accompanied by photographer and local legend, Jeremy Koreski, and the founders of Earth Missions, Tiny Atlas Quarterly and Allswell, this trip requires a sun hat, sweatshirt, hiking boots and all your favorite cameras.
Tiny Atlas’ founder and expert photographer, Emily Nathan will lead a daily workshop for photographers of all levels on how to plan, shoot, edit and share a photographic feature story. Laura Rubin, creator of AllSwell notebooks, will be on hand to provide tips and techniques to encourage creative expression in all forms, including the analog way – putting pen to paper.
Not a pro surfer or expert photographer yet? No worries! All you need is a love for the ocean and the arts, and an open mind. You’ll leave with memories made, a full AllSwell notebook and plenty of images.
Daily programming will include surf, yoga, creativity and photography training with full freedom to explore the coast on your own timeline if you prefer.
